2 co-workers at my job dislike me and are jealous that I am so successful so early in my career. They are starting to turn new people against me who come on board. I've gone out of my way to be kind to the latest newcomer and compliment them on a job well done. I was accidently forwarded an email that he wrote about me, and I think it is to win the approval of the other two. I talked to my supervisor but I am so hurt and angry still. What would you do? Thoughtful answers please.

This happens in all jobs. The higher up the ladder you go, the worse it gets. You must learn to deal with it in a diplomatic way. Always be nice to them, and never say a word out of the way. Don't always go crying to the boss either, as he will start to think you are the problem. If you keep your cool and do your job real good, then he will see what the real truth is himself. People like that always makes the mistake first, and it will come back to bite them in the @ss. You could give the boss a copy of the email, and tell him in a nice way, "that's so immature" and leave it at that. He should get the hint. Good Luck!!!

This happens to me all the time. It is really hard to stay focused on your task when there are others focusing negative attention on you. This sounds hard, but you can't let it effect you. That is what they are looking for is a reaction. If you don't give them a reaction, they will eventually get bored with you and move on. Limit communication with them, and anytime you find that you have to deal with them just make it as friendly as possible. It is really hard to get angry with someone who is happy. Maybe you can rub off on them! There is a quote 'Once you have them by the funny bone their hearts and minds will follow' And it's true, if you can make someone laugh, it will improve their day as well as yours.

This happen to me being in real estate and only 23 at the time(25 now) I was producing more than anybody at the office. The best way is pull them a side and tell them how you feel and why do they hate you? this is the only way to solve this.

Never take anything personally, let it go. Do not sink to their level, keep looking up and growing.
