Who is the first recorded King in History?

The first know was Narmer earliest egyptian king around 2500bc, its disputed that it could have been menes , the facts are lost in time but most historians agree that it was Narmer

The oldest Egyptian Pharaohs date back thousands of years:
Namer (or in some sources Aha son of Namer) was the first dynastic Pharaoh of Egypt. But there were Pharaohs before him, it is just that they did not form a dynasty. Before Namer was Serket (the original Scorpion King). Serket dates back to 2300BC.

But the Kings of Sumeria date back even further. Enmebaragesi of Kish lived around 2600 BC. However the records of the Sumerians state the first king was Alulim of Eridu.

Although it might be possible that mythological figures like Hercules and Odin were early kings whose reputation made them gods after their death... but there is no historical proof of this.
