The 13th of december, the say of Santa Lucia, an old Italian tradition that's celebrated in a lot of countries, it marcs the beginning of the xmas and it wouldnt be the same with we didnt start to put up the decorations that day, and seeing xmas things and hearing carols before that, just makes me sick!
The 7th of january is the day we take them down again.

The day after Thanksgiving is when most people begin the decor. This makes sense because this is the day of Black Friday, when everyone goes shopping for Christmas gifts. So this day revolves around preparing for the big 25th. Personally, I feel as long as it's before the 25th, you'll be fine hehe

I love Christmas, everything about it and I like to have my decorations up as long as possible (plus its such a big job) so I put them up the day after Thanksgiving. Its a long weekend so you can do it all weekend. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!!

Go ahead and put up the tree and decorations now if you want. I personally have my tree and most decorations up already. Get a head start. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Go ahead now! I am planning to put mine up this weekend. It usually takes several days. I figure it's way too much work for just a few weeks. This is my favorite time of year. If you have young children, the especially enjoy it -- the sooner, the better.

I put everything up the weekend after Thanksgiving. My husband is off work and can help me lug everything upstairs. Maybe a little early, but if it makes you happy, so what? P.S. Sorry 'bout your mom.

Um i think of it is okay to bypass away all the holiday decorations up all 12 months around. seem how plenty time it could shop. course it confuses the babies cuz they seem below the tree daily for presents.

I don't like to decorate til after Christmas. Don't you get tired of looking at the directions if they stay up too long?
