The area was known as Scandinavia.

Now four countries.

Holland. Also called Netherlands (land under water, it was drained and cultivated, using wind power, and seawalls, to prevent salt water at tide tides and storm surges. Also known is low land).
Norway.
Sweden.
Finland.
