Asteroids and comets are fairly similar, except comets have different compositions thata low them to emit gas jets when they near the sun.

Nothing, actually. One is a free floating bit of stellar flotsam which probably broke off from a larger configuration, a comet is considerably smaller with energy impulse with a ' tail ' which is, at last report, really just ice.

Hi. A couple of things. They both orbit the Sun. They both can sometimes collide with the Earth. They can both be seen in a telescope if they get bright enough. Hope this helps.

Its orbit? That's about all.
A comet is made of ice (dirty ice i agree) and an asteroid is made of a denser material, rock, nickel, ferrous, nonferrous, etc...
