I have done this myself. It is a lot of backbreaking work if you use a manual posthole digger. It can be done. Suggest renting a gas powered augering machine and have some friends stop over on a Saturday, maybe order in pizza. It is easy to lay out, harder by far to install yourself.

You can choose between shadowbox or stockade privacy fencing for the wood sections and for the chain link, inserting aluminum or vinyl privacy strips. I suggest you collect some used motor oil and soak the post ends going into the ground. Cypress posts are likely the best bet for you and soaking them in oil will keep some types of black ants from gnawing their little homes into them. Any other info you need can be gotten from Lowes, Home Depot or the like.
