Change something; hair cut ; new outfit go get your nails done.

All of us Mothers out there understand what you are going through comes with the territory. However don't let it get you down.

Excercise, make sure you take and extra 15 minutes to take care of your self even if you are at home still throw on some make up and do your hair. Simple little things will lift your spirits. Hang in there!

*SIGH* It's a never-ending battle. I have two kids now and I fight myself every day in the mirror. No matter how many times a day my husband tells me I am beautiful I can never believe it. The one thing that made me feel absolutely WONDERFUL for the first time since my second baby (2 1/2 months ago) was this: For Halloween we had a party and I went out and spent $75 on this costume...it was a lion costume, it was a short dress that covered my midsection well but showed off other assets...if you get my drift, and all night my husband and I were the center of attention and at the end of the night I felt great about the way I looked.
Point being, get something that is comfortable for you that you look great in and show yourself off! You probably look a lot better than you think you do :)
And if you JUST had your baby like within the last 4 weeks, don't panic, once the swelling goes down (in a couple more weeks) you won't look pregnant anymore. I know it's hard to see past the here and now but it really will get better!

Start exercising (light at first, especially if you didn't exercise regularly before and during pregnancy). This will help shed the baby fat, breastfeeding also helps lose the weight faster. Go shopping for some great, form flattering clothes. Fix your hair and put on a touch of makeup, I always feel better when I'm dressed neatly and hair and makeup fixed. Just because you're a mom now, doesn't mean you have to let yourself go. Plus, just having a baby in your arms makes you beautiful! Best of luck!

Be realistic. You just had a baby so you don't want to go throught the whole "gettin gussied up" ordeal. What I did - Took a long shower and shaved all of the essentials. Went down the street and had my toes done. I made sure to brush and style my hair everyday, even when I felt the crappiest.

Do those small things that you will not have a lot of time for as you baby gets older. (Like taking a bath...alone!)

It gets better as time goes on and as your body re-adjusts and begins to thin out.

Best of Luck! Remember - a mother is the most beautiful thing in the world, we would not be here without one!!

From experience! A good thing to do is think thin, go to the salon and tell the barber to give you a totally new look and something that would look good on YOU. Get a new outfit (and a pair of heels, or boots). Just a tad of Mascara and lip gloss and take a look at the new you! :) I'm more than sure your beautiful without all of this. OH.......Tell your partner how you feel.

continue to drink lots of water, exercise, make your mate do the chores for a week, take a nice long bath, wear a mud mask, go out to window shop with your girlfriends at the mall, smile to everyone you see, compliment at least 3 people in a day (you'd be suprised at the compliments you get back, that always makes me feel good about myself) And remember, if someone says that you have a beautiful baby, just remember who the parent is!

Don't be hard on yourself and expect to be straight back to how you were before pregnancy. Rest as much as you can, pamper yourself, go for nice long walks with your baby! Plus - most new mums positively glow anyway, so you are probably more beautiful than you can imagine! Good luck, and congratulations!

my baby is 5 months old now and when i first had her i got a little depressed, felt unattractive. try going for a manicure and pedicure or a massage. pamper yourself while someone watches the baby. get a facial or your hair done. trust me you will feel better in a few weeks.

Pamper yourself- bubble bath, take time to do your hair and make-up. Other than that, you JUST had a baby- remember it took you 9 months to gain that weight...so it should take that or a little longer to take it off. Appreciate who you are, and take pride in your bundle of joy!
