I am a contract employee, I have been working with my present company for 3 years. I have NOT had a "review" nor any wage increase. The Contract company keeps stating that they are merely a "payroll" company and that is it. This "payroll" company has made 2 MAJOR payroll erors. The have shorted my hours and failed to deposit my direct deposit pay. My question to you all is this:
Should I just look for another Job?
Should I tell my employeer how this contract company has been treating me and another employee?
How can I ask my employeer in a delicate manor that I no longer wish to work contract and I would like to be hired on, and IF that is not an option, then I need to seek other employement?

Ok my guess is that this "payroll company" is a temporary agency such as Seek, Manpower , or one of the other ones. These companys absolutly use employees! The sad thing is that Corporations do buisness with these type of companys. You have no protection in your job, you generally get lesser benefits, and you really don't have much say in the comapny you work for.
My advice is that you get out of there ASAP! The client may not even be able to hire you on because of agreements with the staffing company... did you know that? THey are some shady characters and all they want is the pay that you make for them. I bet they get paid 2 dollars an hour for every hour that you have ever worked!. Over three years how much do you think they have made off your hard labor?
Look for another job .. a real job with real benefits and real oppertunity for advancment. Right now your nothing more than a 2nd class employee who will never be given anything. Don't let these large gutless companys take advantage of you any longer.

If you have been doing the same job for three years I would think that you should contact the IRS and ask them what your rights are. They might be calling you contract but you sound like an employee to me. Even as a "contract" employee you have reight to benefits and other items that they might be offering to employees.

nicely once you've a Tax identity and a 1099 and he's sticking to his guns that you've been a freelance worker wager what... you may't wrestle it. i do not understand why you reported that you're a mom of two children, i fairly do not see what your children could do with this except they are earning an income too? in case you set it in there for pitty sake, that replaced into fairly lame of you. magnificent attempt in spite of the actuality that. really for all criminal intents and applications at this factor, except you may conclusively educate with actual data; alongside with video or audio recordings or paper documentation; that you weren't his contract worker then you truthfully were. it would not count number if that wasn't your verbal association or not. it would not count number in case you imagine it is honest or not. it is life, your pal has made you a criminal worker for that factor period, now you may attend to the outcomes. next time imagine two times about taking money from friends, and in case you do, surely really settle for personal cheques once you're going to take cheques. heavily even as his agency replaced into paying you money what did you imagine replaced into going to ensue? it is criminal for the owner of a agency to really randomly pay someone agency money even as the agency hasn't benefited from the deal. that is said as embezzlement
