Jolly Good Day Sir. No revolution you say? I must get my tea and biscuit and alert the Queen. Meet us at the pub in an hour. Take the tube.

Had war now broken out there is a good chance that we would be a dominion, just as Canada is. Because of the size, the wealth, the power, etc of America, I'm sure the connection would be a very loose one.
Another possibility is that if England would have kept draining America through severe taxes, war would have broken out at a later time. One of the English members of parliament made the remark, " What's the use of having colonies if you don't use them to make you rich "?

The fact that the music of the Beattles , Stones, Pink Floyd, Electric light Orchestra, U-2, would have been awful. Men would be wearing wigs and tights. No Armani suits for men or women, so fashion would have suffered. And last but not least we would have had to eat liver pate' Yuk.
