Do you think your boss/company can afford the increase the democrats are proposing? Are you worried the business will go under if you get an increase?

The business probably won't go under, at least not right away, more than likely a few employees will get laid off.

Then the lucky workers get more work to do for their raises.

So, people could lose jobs, the cost of living increases for the rest of us that did not get raises, but at least the unexperienced and unwilling will make more money.

Isn't socialism great?

WHO CARES!!!!!
If a buisness can't afford to pay that minimum wage then they shouldn't be in buisness anyway!!!!!!!
Minimum wage is a slap in the face to any employee. Even sweeping floors is worth more than minimum wage. I refuse to work for minimum wage because It just doesn't let you live a real life. I would never accept a job that started under 9$/hour and it is an insult to the American people that our minimum wage is what it is.

I am an employer and for me I will not let the business go under...but I will lay people off rather than pay more than what they are worth. I'd sooner pay the $8 an hour employee more and have them take on extra than have an employee worth $5.25 make $6.50 or $7 and get only 5.25 level quality.

Mine won't but others may. I wanted Democrats to win majority and I'd enjoy a raise, but I fear for this raise in taxes.
