Illegal? No.

Unethical, immoral, immature? Yes.

It could probably result in some sort of charges. Or possibly a lawsuit for damages, especially if you contacted people he had business dealings with and he lost income as a result. More likely you would just have to spend the rest of your life looking behind you for whatever type of personal revenge he might wish to undertake. In any case it's not a good idea. Don't do it. You already did it, right?

Yes, it is probably illegal. Misrepresentation of identity, for varying purposes, likely subjects you to criminal and/or civil sanctions. Further, if your ex's "account" is paid for, he may have a property right in it and might be able to sue you for conversion. Misrepresenting yourself as another and then putting words in their mouth may also be defamation. (Posing as someone and saying "I hate you" could be the functional equivalent of simply calling them and saying "John hates you." If this causes injury to reputation, there could be damage.)

it's probably more like harassment and could get somebody killed.

what if one of the contacts gets mad, confronts him, and one ends up dead?

easily tracked on the computer -you would get caught and could be charged with a felony- probably not murder, but maybe involuntary or negligent manslaughter for causing the crime to be committed.

much more fun to say he has a little penis .. he'll never live that down :)

It is aggainst the law of karma.
Doing such evil will hurt you more than it hurts anything else.
Anger, hatred and revenge eat you up inside.

yes, you will be committing an interstate crime under several statutes, including CANSPAM, which puts it under the jurisdiction of the federal government and FBI. You could face jail time if they prosecute.

Is surely doesn't sound nice. Why do you want to do it? If there is a reason for revenge, shouldn't there be other ways to do it?
