I hate skinny jeans, they make people look fat!! They are soo 80s looking....YUCK!

Not for everyone! Definitely not. If you don't have the right body type for these jeans, they can actually make your legs look bigger. I don't think the trend will be around much longer, anyway. I suggest a skinny flare, rather than full on skinny jeans. American Eagle has a new jean called the "AE Artist". Its a reasonably priced skinny flare jean that you can purchase in a light wash for everyday, or even a dark wash to be worn with heels and a dressy top.
The thing I don't like about these "skinny jeans" is men running around sporting these things. Too tight pants may show off cute butts, but seriously, it just looks wrong!

Skinny jeans are here for 2 reasons...
For function - to wear with all the boots that are in style - looks good on the right people.
For the straight leg look, worn with flats - not flattering on anyone, will most likely be a quick trend..
I think the function of wearing them with boots will stick around for a while though.

Hate them. Think I've seen maybe 2 people wearing them since they've come out. Oh, and one middle aged woman wearing stone washed ones from the 80's. In my city, the skinny jeans have been moved to the clearance racks and still no one will by them. I'm not giving up my boot cuts!

I am really skinny (was bullied at school for it) and the ones that I have tried on recently have been too skinny I have trouble moving in them. Are skinny jeans getting smaller coz my ones that I bought months ago fit.

I havent' gotten into the whole skinny jeans trend yet!I always say I won't, but these trends just grow on me (likes uggs) no my style right now, but im sure eventually I will own a pair :/

They look great if you are really tall and really thin. On every other person they look like sausage casings.
In the 80's (the last time they were popular) I was 5'1" and 100 lbs, they made me look fat.
And now, in my 30's and a few pounds heavier, I wouldn't be caught dead in them.

For me, it's boot cut with some stretch to them. God bless whoever invented stretch jeans!

not for me they remind of the 80's and thank goodness this is 2006 and we have low rise boot cut
