is retail theft a serious crime..or is it petty?? how long will it stay on your record?? and my case was dismissed without predijice..will jobs dismiss me for a job cause of that?? it was 4 years ago that i got the ticket??

Ouch. Well if it is on your record my suggestion is to find a place that doesn't do criminal record checks. Your not working at walmart I can gurantee you that. When you said your case was dismissed does that mean that you were innocent. If it is not on your record don't worry about it. You should do a check on your own cirminal record and see what the deal is with that.
Bottom line is that employee theft is a huge issue with companies these days. Some companys would see that and never hire you. It definatly isn't gonna help you in any way. If you look at loss prevention statistics from major buisness like Target and Walmart you will see that the majority of the loss comes from employee theft. They take many measures to decrease this.
