Id advise u to think hard about what it is u really want first of all. I mean, are u attracted to women? Do u feel certain feelings when u think of making love to a woman? Some women think theyre lesbian until their first sex session which can actually put them right off, can also leave others wanting more and more. Some people think we're born gay, other develope these feelings as we grow older. The choice is yours obviously, have u thought about being bi for a while? Dont put all ur eggs in one basket if ur not fully sure because you may make yourself look a bit silly if u all of a sudden become lesbian when u might find out later its not necessarily for u, experiment perhaps? The world is ur oyster girlfriend.

Did you decide this over cereal this morning? This is your first question on here and there isn't much detail. If you want to become a Lesbian because you want to live your life with a woman go for it. If you re angry at men then please do all of us Lesbian a favor and don't torch-er us with your bitterness for men. So advise either more info or therapy.

I don't think you can "become" a lesbian... but you CAN have homosexual relationships.

Lesbianism is a term used for women who love and prefer other women sexually. If you are longing to have sexual contact with another woman, this does not necessarily define you as being or becoming lesbian.

Since you are "seriously thinking" about it, chances are you are merely CURIOUS. Being as such, I would recommend exploring the LIFESTYLE (not just the physical aspects of it) and see whether "becoming a lesbian" is right for you.

There are lots of nuances and stresses for enjoying homosexuality and you should be aware of those criteria before you make the plunge and "come out of the closet" to your world.

But if you just want to "get your groove on"...(smile), girlfriend, go for it - ENJOY - and don't worry about labeling yourself, your fantasies or your preferences.

Thanks for writing and Good luck to you!

Considering the majority of answers to questions here, you shouldn't have to think about it. Lesbians are born, not made, and you would know if you were one.

I advise that you relax, figure out what causes the problems you are having with men and work throough those problems to a solution.

I'd go to lesbian school and get a degree first. Contact the lesbian's union, they have some great pamphlets on becoming a lesbian

The only thing that will make you a lesbian is if your totally unattracted to men in every way. You can choose not to be with men if you'd like. But if you are attracted to men and women than that just makes you a bisexual woman who dates women.

I don't know being a lesbian is a hard choice, I would consider becoming Bisexual. Much more fun. Email me if you want any advice.

Go for it! I guess the only requirements are stop dating men and start dating women. There's a lot of diversity amongst the lesbian community. Oh, and if you're just experimenting be honest about that with your partners.

You can't become a lesbian by thinking about becoming one. It isn't an intellectual process. What has triggered this? I think that all women are a little that way inclined. What with feminism and the sisterhood, both are obsessed with their own sex.

Nobody becomes anything that has to do with sexual orientation. Do you like women, sexually, right now? If so, boom- you're a lesbian. If you like men as well, you're a bisexual, and while you can stop sleeping with men, you can't stop being attracted to them, so you'll always be bisexual. If you don't like women, sexually, then you won't be a lesbian. You can still sleep with women and completely eschew men, but that will just make you a straight girl who sleeps with chicks only.

I hope that makes sense. Do what feels good to you, do who you're attracted to.
