I didn't get a notice that My Canadian Taxes were going to pay Americans to Police the world. Are they even qualified for the job?

Because some, not all, think that they actually run the world (see the Project for the New American Century for specifics). I find most Americans to be wonderful people but some, mostly those in powerful positions, speak to the world in a condescending manner which sadly reflects badly on all Americans.
BTW, I am Canadian myself and although I understand your sarcasm vis a vis the tax and policing the world, it really wasn't a very good analogy.

WoW! What notice are you referring to? I'm Canadian and I didn't get any notice either...
Look, I'm no fan of arrogance no matter the nationality of it but I just don't see many Americans as viewing themselves morally superior to anyone nor are they any more or any less special than anyone else. As for your claims that Americans are policing the world (another morsel of news to me!), are you forgetting that it is mostly Canadians who are in Afghanistan?
But, all that aside, the real problem in this world isn't Americans this, Canadians that, or Iraqis, Afghans or even North Koreans but this idea that we are all separate and independent. There are no different "races" - humans are members of one race - but there are different "ethnicities" and that's where nationalism comes into the scene and wrecks it for everyone!
Viva humanity and let's stop putting each other down!!

The same reason everybody else thinks they are special.
And your taxes aren't going for the United States to police the world.They are actually going to me and I'm gonna spend it all on myself because I'm special. I got tired of all my tax money going to all those Canadians.
You're right! I don't think they are qualified. I think the Taliban has a better way. Keep little girls out of school, force them to bow before their men. And keep them from surfing the internet questioning anyones' rights.

Well, the tables can turn on this one, why do foreigners think that they are so special and that America owes them something?
I mean it's that simple. It's a nonstop petty battle where people bad mouth Americans and Americans bad mouth them. It's crap, why can't we cut it out and learn to get a long???

WHOA..HATER!! (I complain, too but I'm allowed, I live here). We (The U.S.) is your big brother, no one tries to invade or start trouble with you because we are right here. Surley, you have some sort of understanding of this. We could afford Democratic Socialism, like you, if we didn't have to fund this massive military that, sorry to say, protects your way of life too. I'm not sayin I agree with the whole world police thing, I'm just statin the facts.
