ive been accused of being a racist lately and i told the girl everyone is a racist EVERYONE to some degree what do you think

I agree. I find myself lumping people into generalizations of race, sex, income, height, whatever.

Its not right, it does not define how I move through life, but I do think unrightous things at times.

I think that there are good and bad people in every race. People who are prejudice are that way because of their upbringing, narrow minded, prejudge mental, feelings. The problem is that this problem exists in every race and culture to one extent or another. The fact is, people are all the same with the same basic needs and desires. Prejudice spoils what should be compassionate understanding. Many use prejudice as an excuse to validate their own shortcomings. How sad.

Racism isn't the same thing as prejudice. Not everyone is racist to some degree. Everyone has some prejudices.

Racism is a system of belief based up hatred for a particular ethnic group based upon the color of their skin. Hatred is the key word.

Hatred has nothing to do with it, it's prejudice and bias and you can't swear that you treat every single person in your life exactly the same.
