Why do the Muslims and Jews live in the West? Are the Greeks and Romans to blame?

the crusades had nothing to do with the reconquest of spain. they happened at different times. We would still have had the crusdaes because Jerusalem was occupied by the Muslims and the christians thought it should be in theirn hands.

The Crusades were a violent act of reconquering Spain supposedly in order to protect the pope and Catholocism because of the close proximity of Spain to Italy. It was disquised as a quest for the Grail. As in most wars it was about money and power. It may not have been called the Crusades but sooner or later someone would have had a reason to attack the Arab countries for their riches and knowledge. (They were far ahead of the Europeans). The Muslim and Jewish people live in the land of their ancestors. Their first priority was then and remains to protect the land they believe was given to them by God or Allah.

Muslims and Jews are part of and have been influence by as well as influencing Western Civilization. As for the Moors they came after the first crusades!
