I am suppose to be induced on Tuesday, but would like to be induced Monday instead so I will be out of the hospital for Thanksgiving. Do you think if I ask they will reschedule me?

I know being induced hurts, I was induced twice already. It is the doctors decision to induce, not mine.

Don't be induced! It's horrible! Wait it out, and then maybe you'll have the baby AFTER thanksgiving, depending on how far along you are. If you must be induced (your mind is made up) then it will depend on your doctor's schedule. Doctors love inducing, they rarely say no. It makes you need an epidural and immobilzes you! Doctor's dream patient!

I dont see why not. its only a day. Even though you wanna be home for Thanksgiving youll more than likely stay in the hospital for 4-5 days, if you have a (c-section) so you may not be home anyway. And if you are youll be so sor youll be in bed most of the time. Whatever happens good luck and congrats.

It's worth asking, however some doctors have set days they do things, so don't be shocked if they can't change it.

BTW - most insurance plans want you out of the hospital ASAP after you deliver, so you might be home for Thanksgiving anyway.

Good luck!

i was induced and it all in the doctors hands if the baby is fine in there and there are no compications and you are not so terrible uncomfortable they usally say that the baby is better off inside cause sometimes if you try to make it happen before your body is ready it makes labor worse that happen with my son i was in labor for two days and then you wont be out in time anyway think about it plus if you have a c section then you got to stay longer then that

just ask your Dr. And to all the people who say if you are induced you need an epidural that's so not true for my 3 I was induces and all I had was a mild relaxant.

this may depend on why you are being induced. i think you should ask your doctor about this as soon as possible as it may depend on space at your hospital or the number of staff scheduled on monday. good luck and congratulations

As long as the doctors think that ur baby is mature enough there should be no problem in rescheduling as it is just one day prior 2 the planned one.

It is possible. I would definitely ask. It really depends on the hospitals schedule.
