i was told by the clerk that they will give me a court date for a default divorce soon,im the plaintiff,how long after a default hearing does it take to get my divorce decree?

60 days is the usual waiting period.

After my ex-husband and I signed our divorce papers it was a couple of weeks before the divorce was final. But from the day I filed until the day it was final was about a year and a half.

We live in Canada. My wife told me when she divorced her ex husband it only took 4 months.

Varies for different places. I live in Ontario, Canada and my fiance was informed it would take about 6 - 9 months.

depends on your location, where or not it is contested, and whether or not there are children involved. Can be very quick like 2-3 weeks, or can take years!
