I heard my babies heartbeat this week and I was 10 weeks, 5 days. My ob said it was between 150-160. Is that pretty average? Did anyone else get around the same? It was such a joy to get to hear it!!!

The average heartbeat for a baby is around 140 beats per minute, with a normal range being anywhere from 120 to 160 BPM. Yes it is a joy to hear wait till you get an ultrasound though and you get to actually see your baby. It is the best feeling in the world. You feel so much love for him/her.

Yeah thats normal babys heartbeats are crazy fast. I think my babys was 157 last time I went. That is when they finally got it and the baby stopped turning and kicking the doppler thing. I kow its so amazing hearing that the baby is ok. It eases me. I can't wait to start going every 2 weeks. I love hearin the babys heartbeat. The first ultrasound I just laughed and cried I was like omg thats my baby my living baby. I've had tons of miscarriages. Its the most amazing feeling to know you are making a whole person who will grow up and have thoughts ideas a personality.

The first time that i heard my baby's heart beat it was 172 your right hearing it was such a joy but just wait til you get to see the little one during an ultra sound i got tears every time that i saw him

I heard my baby's heartbeat also this week, I was 12 weeks 5 days. Isn't it amazing? It didnt really hit me till I was driving home, and cried all the way home! My baby's heart rate was 152, so sounds like your numbers are good! Good Luck and Congrats!

I head my baby's heartbeat on Tuesday for the first time.....I'm 12 weeks and it was around 160. It was music to my ears!!! Congrats to you, we're still excited about it!

yea- it can be from 120- to 160 in mose cases. doesn't it melt your heart? Oh my gosh, I almost cried when I first heard my baby's heartbeat! But instead I just smiled really big :) It was a feeling I can't describe- a great one! :) congrats :)

That is definitely the average. A baby's heartbeat is faster that an adult so your baby's is right on track. Congrats on your pregnancy.

Hearing your baby's heartbeat has got to be one of the most amazing things ever. I got to see my son suck his thumb during a sonogram, I even have a picture of it. I tell you, there's really nothing like it, no amount of fancy jewelery could ever top that.
