You can get pregnant at anytime after you started your periods. You can't always believe everything you read. I suggest you take a pregnancy test to make sure or go to the gynecologist.

Hello there,
It is very unlikely that you got pregnant from that particular act of intercourse. It sounds like you had some bleeding mid-cycle that sometimes is associated with ovulation. You say you had unprotected sex one week after that. If those are the facts then the odds of you getting pregnant are almost zero. I would not be worried enough to purchase a pregnancy test, save your money.
However, I do have to agree witht the person who said that any time you have sex you can get pregnant. That is the standard advice that we hand out at a pregnancy counseling center. The human body can do things that we did not expect it to do, you may have ovulated at some time other than what you expected. If your physical symtoms agree with the two week rule then I would say that is probably when you ovulated. Still to be safer and so that you can have some peace of mind I would advise you to use some form of birth control and avoid sex on the days that you know you are ovulating.
Take care
Lady T~

Any time you have unprotected sex no matter if your on you period or not it's a possibility that you could get pregnant.
You need to start using your heads more and not your organs. Don't get carried away in the heat of the moment. Always have protection handy. Try asking your doctor about the Nuva Ring. I just started using it and it's great. You put it in and leave it for three weeks. You take it out on the fourth and put a new one in after that week is up. You don't have to worry about taking pills. You don't feel it. He wont feel it. And best of all you'll start to have shorter lighter periods.

Isn't it weird that we have this mis conception ( excuse the pun ) , that we can get pregnant anytime between a period and that it all centers around blood. !!
WRONG.. women can ONLY get pregnant when they OVULATE..
this normally happens 2 weeks after a period. Luckily I can tell when I do this. Most women should tune themselves into Ovulation instead of the period that follows. Every one is different. But Id go with the longest bleeding u have as a period and would get the spotting checked.. it might indicate a more serious problem.
Good luck..

Get in tune with Ur body.

When i see a tender pregnant woman i don't pass judgement on except i do know the instances. She might had been raped. Or might be if she wasnt she might had been in love with a boyfriend of 5 years. Lets say it was once a liked boyfriend if they'd been in combination a minimum of a yr and a part and did what they did for the correct factors i see no rationale to pass judgement on. They didnt do it on reason. There are billions of alternative young adults doing the identical matters they only dont occur to get pregnant. There are adults who've one night time stands always so why is that ok however a young person who simply so occurs to get pregnant along with her bf of four months isn't ok? I bet what im seeking to say is a pregnant youngster shouldnt be judged except you already know the entire main points.

You can get pregnant at any time during your cycle--it just depends on when you ovulate. You should be able to take a pregnancy test (like a clear blue digital, something sensitive) early next week.

You can get pregnant every day of the year, even in the middle of your period. You can always get pregnant. Every time you have sex you can get pregnant.

This is not hard people - if you have the organs and have sex, even protected, you can get pregnant any time, any place.
