When I go on the internet and try to copy text, then I go to MS Word to paste, the option to paste is there, but as soon as I click on it, MS Word freezes up and then I have to alt+ctrl+del to exit out. It doesn't do this with all internet sites, only some and unfortunately the one I need to copy from. It's just regular text!!
Is there setting I need to enable or something?
I'm sure there are smart people here that could figure this out.
Thanks!!!

After copying your items, in MS word click edit then paste special...

Select unformatted text.

This will copy the text without any of the special formatting from the website.

Adding another step may help:

Paste the text into Notepad, then copy it again in Notepad and paste it into Word.

What this does is strip all the styling off of it, and it's less info for Word to deal with.

A pain, but it might work.

Also - do some virus and spyware scans, they may be using some of your computer's processing power, leaving Word will less than it needs.

It is possible that they have copyrighted their work and are using some sofyware to prevent the copying.
I have been succesful at saving the page to a vacant file folder on your hardrive. Then using a half decent html programme to edit the text portion, to a separate file. Extract the desired text from the html.

You could bring up what you wanting to print then hit "print screen" on the keyboard. Then open MS paint and click in the body and then go up to edit and click on paste. Then go to file and click "save as" whatever you want to call it and where you want to save it.That may help, no guarantees though. I use that option all the time for things I want to keep.

Good Luck!

You are overloading your clipboard buffer.
Do not copy and paste large amounts of text.
Instead, copy a few paragraphs at at time and
add it to Word in sections.
