Just ran into a friend I went to Woodstock '99 with and started reminiscing. What we remember: the temp was over 90 degrees, there was trash everywhere, the tents people pitched were almost on top of each other, the port-o-lets were overflowing with human waste, it was $5 for a little hamburger and $10 for a bag of ice, you couldn't get close to the stage because people were so rowdy, a bunch of the performers didn't show up, and when we got home we found out a lot of girls were raped in the crowds. The music was good, but that's about the only thing that was good. Anyone else disappointed?

I was expecting it to be a 3 day festival of music. People sitting around in the grass, having a good time, watching the performances. I've been to other music festivals and had a lot of fun. Woodstock '99 was more like a frat party gone bad. One ticket to get in was $200. For the price they could've at least had enough trash cans. I don't recall seeing one security person. They had a medical station full of people getting hit with debrit and injured in the crowds. The last day it was so chaotic I couldn't stay to the very end. I left when people started tearing things down. Right after I left, someone set one of the stages on fire. It was bad.

to the girl that asked you "what were you expecting?" i would expect to be entertained and have it be safe, wouldn't anyone? especially for the money you're spending! the conditions in which the show was set up would be dissapointing. i would expect for such a huge show to have lots of workers keep the place clean, charge less for water and food and have lots of security! isn't this the one where everyone freaked out because of the horrible conditions and set fire to everything around them when limp bizkit (however u spell it lol) got on stage, or was that a different show? i think the people that were in charge of the show should have thought about these consequences and not treated all those people so poorly. but at least you got to see some good live music, and that's awesome!
