I am so not interested in this until most likely the end of next year, when the price has dropped to actually compete with Microsoft and Nintendo. It's way too much to begin with, the Blu-Ray is not going to do nearly as well as they say it will, and I've read today that their SIXAXIS controllers that they sell separately will not come with a USB cord so that they can charge. And considering that you are unable to change the batteries in a controller unless you buy a new one, that's pretty lame.

Other than Resistance, there are no decent launch titles (come on, who really wants Ridge Racer?). The fact that there is no rumble feature in the controller (Nintendo and Microsoft both did it) is also lame as well. Sony's already dropped the price in Japan and the European launch got pushed back to March of next year. And the price point is just ridiculous. $600? No, thank you. I'll stick with Gears Of War on my 360.

Already played it since Monday! Need HDTV upgrade but on a regular Color TV, it rocks!!!!!

I played games on a PS3 development kit at work (EA Sports) over a year ago and was impressed with it. Only thing is that it did not look anything like the final release. Looked like a tan PC tower with a PSP hanging out for a controller. Graphics were cool and game play fantastic, even for beta games. I got my PS3 free from my landlord who works for Sony in Foster City, CA three days ago and am impressed! It's a great investment!

I'm not as impressed as I expected I would be....the system seems to lots of bugs to begin with, it's overpriced, risky due to it having blue-ray versus HD DVD, the on-line plans seem kind of a poor man's xbox live, and their really isn't any exclusive launch titles that stand out and make me want to have this....

if the ps3 came out with the new metal gear or final fantasy or devil may cry game, I might be more excited, but right now, after reading reviews and looking at the lack of exclusives, I'm not impressed.

I don't care too much about the ps3 until the bugs are fixed and the price goes down quite a bit.

Yes, very! But no doubt here in the UK they'll massively underorder and will have to wait MONTHS and by then people will be paying ridiculous prices for them. But still! Exciting stuff!
