Doing a class project and I also need to find
Number and Type of Ethernet ports:
Number and Type of Video ports:
Number and Type of USB ports:
Number and Type of Parallel ports:
Number and Type of Serial ports:
Is is listed in the computer anywhere?????
Please help

open the computer and look at each of them. remember to unplug it first
or go to controll panel then to system adminsistrator tools them computer manegment. that has all the data abbout your computer. its kinda hard to figure out what it means though

Device Manager Ram

Try looking at device manager. To do that right click on My Computer icon, and click on Manage. In the window that opens up click on device manager. It will then list all the devices in your computer on the right side. Click on the plus sign next to a category to expand that cateory.
Ethernet ports will be listed as Network Adapters in Device manager

I don't know how to tell the type of RAM you have, but I know how you can find out how much you have.
Right click on the Taskbar and click on Task Manager.
Click on the Performance tab. Look at Total Physical Memory. That will give the approximate memory you have in kilobytes. To find out how many MBs, divide that by 1024.

Go to the MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop and right click. Click on properties from the drop down and there you would find ur answers.

check the bio's to see the speed and make sure it matches the speed of the ram your planing to buy.
