Can I download Internet Explorer 7 if I have Windows xp Home Edition Version 5.1 service pack 1? If not, can I download Internet Explorer 6?

Try and download the better one because it will check your system and disallow or allow.

All kidding aside, yes, you need SP2 to get IE7. IE6 is incredibly insecure - they find new holes all the time.
Like I said, option C - Use Firefox...

honestly i would just recomend getting firefox, it has built in pop up blocker..and tons of plugins that are really nice
try it out and im sure you will like it better than IE

you should be able to update your IE with no problems. if it causes you any problems, then you can always uninstall the program in your add/remove programs.
i installed the IE 7, but i didn't like it, so i uninstalled it.
