If you're spotting during pregnancy basicly your doctor will tell you to lie down on your left side if you start having any discharge go to the ER. Also if you have lower back pains that hurt extremely bad. Those are signs of preterm labor. If I was you I would have already high tailed it to the ER. I'm a big worrier.

I spotted a tiny bit when I was about 11 weeks pregnant. It was pinkish and then a little brown and then it has never happened again. My nurse told me to relax and take it easy. She said some women have "spotting" but not all. Depends on the person. Everyone is different.

Not everyone, any spotting is a cause for concern, but many times i'ts just your body's reaction to the pregnancy. I had spotting/bleeding for 3 weeks straight, but one day it just quit and my baby looks healthy and is growing just fine. If you haven't already, talk to your doctor about it just to be on the safe side, but it is possible to have a pefectly healthy baby. Good luck to you!

Em,
No not everyone, but it's very common with alot of women. Make sure it's a nice red color this would indicate normal spotting, dark in color could inticate blood clotting and this is worth the trip to the doctor.

Not everyone does, but it's not uncommon. If the blood is bright red and doesn't stop, that's a warning sign that you need to at least call your doctor (or visit the ER if the bleeding is heavy enough).
