Why does Medium say Phoenix is in Mariposa County?

Question

I lived in Phoenix, AZ and know for a fact that the county is called Maricopa County. Not Mariposa. Anyone know why? Shows usually try to be accurate about these things.

Then on the premier last night, there was a woman speaking Tagalog (from the Philippines). And the shows says she is in Indonesia.
