This is my first pregnancy, and i just turned 18 in september. So far, my pregnancy has been a rollar coaster, and now im worried it just got worse...

At first i had no symptoms, and then came the morning sickness, so bad i was hospitilized once, and then almost one more time, and i still have to take a pill to control it

Then came the fact that i wasnt gaining enough weight, no matter what i did, i would eat toast with a ton of peanut butter and banana's and that didnt help, still not where i need to be, i started out at 158 lbs, and currently am at 153. I had dropped down to 142.

Now a couple of weeks ago, we belive i lost my mucus plug and when i go pee, i get this very sharp pain as the baby drops down a bit, and its so intence sometimes that i cry.

But one thing i did get lucky with, im having a baby boy, thats what i wanted.

I have to go into the dr. office in a bit, and am worried that i might lose him, any advise on wheather im looking into this wrong??

OMG! Its a good thing you are going in! Please please please lemme know what happened! If you ever think something isn't right esspecially with al your complications you go straight to the ER no matter how rediculous you may feel.

I think "momma" is confused. Your mucous plug is not your amniotic sac. If your water had broken, your doctor would have sent you straight to labor and delivery. But even that wouldn't have meant you'd need to deliver right away. IV antibiotics can stave off possible infections, and your body keeps making amniotic fluid until the baby is actually delivered. Losing your mucous plug, on the other hand, means very little. People walk around for weeks after losing them.

Only 1 in 100 babies born at 22 weeks survives, and many of them have severe disabilities. That's the bad news. The good news is that the chance of survival goes up every week from then on, and early medical intervention can help more.

Like a few of the posters said, you can take meds that will stop labor, if it starts too early. Stitches can help with an incompetent cervix. And a few doses of steroids can help your babies lungs mature quickly, just in case he DOES come early.

Do you trust your doctor? If so, be totally honest with him/her. Tell him/her everything you're worried about, and ask questions about everything you don't understand. Then trust your doctor to help you, and to make the right decisions in this tough situation. With a little luck, and careful adherence to doctor's orders, you could both be just fine.

What makes you think that you lost your mucus plug? It could be just discharge which happens a lot around this time. But, you could have an incompetent cervix which means that the baby's weight is pushing your cervix open. This is the biggest cause of miscarriage in the later months, but it can be fixed. If you think this might be happening you should see your doctor right away and they can sew up your cervix before you lose the baby. I would at least call my doctor to ask what he thinks about it. I hope everything is ok.

i think your baby is fine i thought i lost my mucus plug once during my pregnancy bc all of a sudden there was wet but not too much i think when you lose your mucus plug there is suposed to be quite a bit of wet unless the baby head it there and your babys head wouldn't be there yet at 23 weeks plus at 23 weeks your baby is pretty big i think even if you did lose it he would be fine but the doctors are suposed to operate on you if your mucus plug comes out and you don't start labour within 24 hours so i am pretty sure you didn't lose it and if you did be ready for baby

Stay positive and pray that what happens is meant to be. I took pills to stop labor every 4 hours, around the clock for months, and he still came early. Spent time on respirator, etc. He is nine now and full of life. If you do abort, it has nothing to do with you personally, just wasn't the time. Good Luck.

IT is larger to sleep on ur left aspect now not most effective on account that of the liver, however on account that it is helping the little one get extra oxygen & it continues ur bloodpressure down, which could be very main. Sure men and women sleep how they desire to, however that is the reality approximately why u will have to sleep at the left aspect. It is okay to put on ur correct frequently so long as it's not always. Something u could take a look at is having anyone therapeutic massage ur legs earlier than u fall asleep to support advertise well movement again to ur middle, & it will have to cut down the cramps vastly. One more thing is get a pillow that's sorta' just like the boppy pillows, however it is for pregnant mothers to make use of so they are going to be extra comfy while they're slumbering or laying daown. I put out of your mind the identify of them however u can get them at any Motherhood Maternity Store, Babies R' Us, Mommy & Me. The rationale I say this certain pillow is on account that it remains in position. It is helping again ache additionally on account that while ur laying on ur aspect the burden of the little one pulls down & pulls on ur again, so simply tuck it underneath ur stomach & among ur legs & ankles (sure it is that large) & u will sleep plenty larger which I realize could be very scarce from the third trimester till ur child is grown & outta' ur apartment.
