Im thinking about getting xbox 360, is it worth it?

markm here is a complete moron since his prices are so far off. the xbox 360 is $300 for the basic system or $400 for the premium system. games are not $100--they are between $50-60.
the answer to your question is yes, the 360 is worth it. it has a growing number of games and is unmatched in it's online play. the PS3 is going to be great as well, although $600 is pricey. sony is years behind microsoft in online play. so if you wanna be playing online, then the 360 is the way to go.

I would say so, I mean, it has a good game out 'now' for every type of gameplay. Gears of War, F.E.A.R, Oblivion, Perfect Dark, Call of Duty 2 and 3, Condemned, etc. Not to mention a great collection of arcade games and trial demos for xbox live marketplace.
It's a tried and true product, while the Wii and Ps3, will end of being great, they both might start out slow since they are both ni their 1st generation while the 360 is in their 2nd.

It totally is. I like to play Oblivion while having my favorite songs played during the game. I even bought the soundtrack from the original Superman movie to listen to when I play Superman Returns. I have no complaints about this system and I do not think you would either. It already has a great selection of games and is a great system all around.

Yeah dude Xbox 360 is one of the best gamin devices on dh Planet....it is powerful & it's spped is also awesome....the games have Graphics 2 die for.......It is awesome if u R lookin for a complete Media package....but if u r a hardcore gamer then i suggest tht U go for sony's PS3

No it is not, although you'll have the Halo games, you can't play half of your X-Box games due to they're too out of date and the 360 can not read it. The X-Box doesn't have too many origanal games so you could buy the Wii or the PS3 and play most of the same games and have a better system.

Well if your into games and good graphic and playing online with other people......than YES its worth getting the 360 has some awesome graphic on it and its alot of fun playing,so go ahead and get one hope you enjoy it.

It's $500 for the Xbox360 and a game itself is a $100 a title
The play station 3 coming out is no better it's going to even
more expensive when it launches $549-$580 for the unit and games you want to buy are going to cost you.

no if you can get the new PS3 system that what i would get .it's what i have gotten my girl for her birthday but you know i will be playing it myself as it took a lot to get my hands on one the store only had 20 games and they sold out quickly
