I LOVE geordies!! Your accent is sooooo cool!!! My parents are English, so I have an English accent. I'm Scottish, and I just LOVE geordies - your accent is just beautiful!!! I like the English and the Scottish!!

The Scottish don't like the English because of the war with Bonnie Prince Charlie. The Scottish people are always welcoming to tourists and indeed are very friendly people. There are some scottish people who do not like the English still because of that war between England and Scotland all those centuries ago.

The Scots admire all those who struggle with the English language. They have flirted with the French for centuries, and will drop the Geordies like a hot tattie, as soon as Tyneside becomes civilised. I personally have nothing against the Scots, or any other English colony, as long as they know their place, and provide us with great comedy like the Krankies and Scottish football, who cares?

Not really, while I like Geordies, they seem very friendly, that doesn't necessarily mean I or the majority of Scots dislike the rest of the English. We just don't like having decades of increasingly vindictive minority government. I'm glad you found the Scots hospitable, people from futher south generally would too, I'm sure.

I have worked with many scots, just dont refer to them as scotch and they are brilliant. Its only when it comes to sport that every country in UK hates each other, then we all have a good drink afterwards.
Also dont tell jokes such as why did they make the 50p piece with that particular shape - To be able to use a spanner to get it out of a scotman's hand.
Most scots I know are very generous and keep trying to educate me by taking me to Malt tastings and strange cult meetings where they talk about this wee beasty before eating a funny black pudding thing and getting pissed.

all the Scott's I ever met have been very warm and welcoming, I live down south in Dorset my father was a Geordie though (a Scott told me once that Geordie's were weak Scotsmen)

The dislike of the English includes Geordie's but it is a general dislike. Individuals are treated on their own merits.

Yes it true, I've even got an ENGLISH Ex- wife, Geordie's are the same breeding as jocks. Look after yer own, not just yourself.

The scots don't hate the english, people keep bringing this subject up just to annoy folk, it's old history leave it there! (I'm scottish)

Im scottish american,scots are down to earth,working people,scots persue medicine and engineering,not stupid things like,writing,entertainment,nor non productive jobs. I could go on about all the millionaires,who are scots but we never like to brag like other nationalities that live here.
