Is it worth getting for its price?

I believe that the Wii is worth it's price, if not underpriced. For starters, the Wii is going to change the way we play video games with it's innovative controller. Imagine, to play a golf game, you swing the Wii remote, or to pitch a football, you hold the Wii remote back and toss it forward, and you even swing the Wii remote to swing a sword. I don't know if you understand the specifics on the controller, but the standard Wii controller comes with a Wii remote, which if turned sideways has a similar button layout to that of a standard NES controller + a Z button on the backside, and a Nunchuk attachable, which acts like the joystick for the game. The innovativeness of the controller has already been tested by gaming magazines such as Game Pro, who recently demoed the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Red Steel. According to their testomy, the Wii remote works just-as-it-should as the sword and using the Nunchuk and the remote together to fire arrows is quick and easy. Red Steel was spoken well of as well, despite the gripes against the game's A.I. Even Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi 2, which was reviewed by Electronic Gaming Monthly, said that even though you look silly playing the game (For example, in order to do Spirit Bomb, you hold down a certain button, then while holding the remote and Nunchuk in both hands you throw your arms up and toss them down to fire it!) it made the game fun as h*** to play! It was also stated that you shouldn't get tired playing the Wii, considering that the sensors are tuned to finer movements to the point where you don't have to swing your arm from left to right to swing a sword.

Now I'm sure about this next point, I intend to get the Wii myself to see, but the Chief Designer working on Twilight Princess stated that the rumors about the Wii being supremely underpowered by the PS3 and the Xbox 360 are false, saying that Twilight Princess on the Wii is displaying the power the Gamecube would have released at its prime, and they have just began to scratch the surface of what the Wii can do graphics wise. Only time will tell if this proclamation is true...

Now, considering that I'm a Nintendo fan, I could continue for a while telling you why I think the Nintendo is great, however, I will now exemplify the point that the price is literarly right for the Wii. To begin with, the Wii IS going to be $250, which makes it the cheapest system on the market. Secondly, since the Wii doesn't use the advanced graphics systems the PS3 and the Xbox 360 are going to use, you can afford to get innovative games cheaper (the Wii's games), which will be sticking to the $50 maximum price when compared to PS3's and 360's $60 maximum price for games. Finally, the Wii's online service might not be as experience as the 360's, however, a deal that no Nintendo fan can pass up is the ability to connect the Wii to the internet and to download classic NES, SNES, and N64 games. And at launch, games like the Legend Of Zelda (NES), Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64), and Goldeneye 007 (N64), will downloadable via the Wii from $5 to $10 per download. So, pricewise, the Wii is hands down the best system to get for grabs. It's inexpensive and has certain "features" that its other gaming competitors lack when considering its innovativeness.
Peace Out...

Trust me, it rocks. I went to E3 and the conference in Chelsea Piers. The motion sensing is a fun, intuitive take on videogames, and will definetly be the next step towards virtual reality. The only bad things were that the controller (WiiMote) is too sensitive, so your shoulders may get cramped up after a while. he games Zelda and Red Steel will definetly be the best, at launch anyway. The game system will be the first to date, and other games like WarioWare and Metroid III seem great too. Elebits and even Metal slug are making it onto the Wii. Even if the console may not be ready to buy until May or so, I believe it is the best choice. For now.

I played the Wii the other day and it was fun, I found it kinda hard to control compared to normal controllers. This would probably get better the more I played it though. I was disappointed in the graphics however. I expected them to be a little better.

Its good, not awesome nor excellent just good... Its way better than the Gamecube that can you bet... 1 Full DVD instead of half or even less than Half of the DVD when you had the MINI disks of the Gamecube... The new wireless system makes it good to play, mostly this is good entertainment system for the whole family, not for Hardcore gamers, its for having fun with your friends and family, thats the reason why i will buy it, not for the HIGH POWER but for the Good Family/Friends Entertainment! Wish this satisfies your question.

No, you may really use a recreation dice controller for recreation dice video games, because it has buttons the classic controller would not. although, recreation dice controllers would nicely be picked up for variety of £5/$10 at a community recreation keep or someplace like Amazon. wish this facilitates, Tom.
