Circumcision is often portrayed as a simple operation where a small amount of skin is simply snipped off the end of the penis. It's not quite this simple. A section of skin is actually removed from around the shaft of the penis and the two ends are sewed together. Look at a guy who has been circumcised and you can see the scar where the sections were sewn. It is a noticable color change and in an adult male (14 or over) its about an inch behind the head. What happens is that with this section removed the foreskin is too short to cover the head when the penis is partially or fully erect. It is a very painful operation and is done on babies without anesthetic. Some babies die of a ruptured stomach from crying so much. Contrary to what most people have been told, there is almost never any good reason for routine child circumcision. It started in this country because some ultra religious nuts back in the early days of the last century thought that all the evils of mankind could be traced back to masturbation. They thought that if the foreskin could not be slid back and forth over the head of the penis masturbation would not be possible. Of course we know now that though masturbation is more difficult without a foreskin circumcision does not prevent masturbation. In fact it achieves just the opposite. The naked head moves against underwear when the boy is active and produces a sensation which in public tends to be uncomfortable. This is one reason boys appear to play with themselves unconciously. BTW. Do you know that girls can be circumcised too? I'm not talking about the brutal practice of excision but of surgically removing the female prepuce. even as a male baby is extra there's a 'flap' of pores and skin that covers the 'gland' (head) of the penis. it is been custom for thousands of years to eliminate this 'flap' sometime after delivery. The jewish society honestly have a religious ceremony and a Rabi performs the 'surgical procedure'. that's performed for quite some reason and there is a few debate as to the want and/or results of not doing so. some have self assurance (and that i'm in this classification) that that's extra hygeinic to be circumsized as there's a lot less probability for an infection and the penis is more convenient to keep sparkling. there is also a school of concept that asserts it fairly would not count number (well being sensible) yet an uncircumsized penis would nicely be extra pleasing for the adult males' sexual major different. That I even haven't any clue about. wish this facilitates and solutions the question.

Okay, when a boy says they're circumsized, it means they got the skin on the head of their penis cut off. It's completely normal, and it's mostly done, with choice of the parents, to keep from getting infections. Otherwise, it's a lifelong task to clean under the skin, and other things. Etc.

Circumcision is the removal of some or all of the foreskin (prepuce) from the penis. The word "circumcision" comes from Latin circum (meaning "around") and caedere (meaning "to cut"). The practice of circumcision predates recorded human history, with depictions found in stone-age cave drawings and Egyptian tombs.[1] The origins of the practice are lost in antiquity. Theories include that circumcision is a form of ritual sacrifice or offering, a sign of submission to a deity, a rite of passage to adulthood, a mark of defeat or slavery, or an attempt to alter esthetics or sexuality.[2] Circumcision of males is a religious requirement of the Muslim and Jewish faiths.[3][4] It is also practiced by the majority of Americans, South Koreans,[5] and Filipinos.[6]
