Yes you can. A guitarist will have callouses on the pads of the left hand. A farmer will have callouses upon the outer edges of the palm. Many white collar people have no real callouses to speak of & their hands are usually immaculate, right down to the manicured nails.
There is as much that can be learned about a person by looking at their hands as there is in reading body language and facial expressions, some of which are merely microbursts.

Yes. Dragon likes examining other people's hands. It is very interesting to see how much she can tell by hands.
