...If it's because of convenience, does it mean that people are just lazy?

Mike A - you raise a very interesting point here. I have not really noticed that fast food is more prevalent in more affluent neighborhoods, you may be onto something here. Perhaps more affluent neighborhoods have the ability to flex their political muscle to keep undesired business from staking claim in their neighborhoods - not that Jack in the Crack wouldnt want to be there.... I would think there would be less liquor stores and crackhouses in these neighborhoods as well....

Cheap and convience. When I eat fast food, we are usually on the road for a long time and need to get some quick but cheap food to eat while on the road. Even though it is bad for you it still tastes hella good right?

Have you ever noticed that the fast food places tend to be more prevalent in poorer areas. Lets say you are really hungry. Lets say you only have a dollar. What are you going to buy, a double cheeseburger from Mcdonalds or an Orange from the grocery store. Most people would tend to go with the Mcdonalds because it is more likely to fill you up. So really isn't an issue of lazyness,or convenience but one of economics.

It's definitely convenience and maybe laziness in some. Personally, I tend to eat more fast food when I'm very stressed knowing that I have healthy options in the fridge.

It tastes good and you don't have to wash dishes after. There are at least 10 people over at my place on the weekends, when there is a lot like that I refuse to cook. We usually have fast food.

quick, easy and cheap. I just had mcdonalds for lunch - because i didn't have time to make something before leaving for work, didnt feel like getting out of my car, and didn't want to spend a lot of money (dollar menu!)
Most days I don't eat fast food, but it is all about convienence.

I say both. We hardly ever have fast food. Its when I get really stressed or tired and just can't get myself in the kitchen to cook.

I agree with Mike A. I think that many employers don't allot much time for meals and this is also a factor.

It tastes a lot better cause it's deep fried and you can get it pretty cheap too (most places have like a dollar menu)
