My first reaction was a lab, because I love the outdoors, but I'm not a hunter, so can't imagine swimming out to retrieve a dead duck. So, I would have to say any large dog, mixed or not who it taken care of by someone like me. I've been a rescuerer & foster home my entire adult life & I've seen things that people do to animals, and the way they get away with it with a slap on the wrist. I currently have a one-eyed German Shep mix(someone hit him hard enough to knock his eye out when he was 4 weeks old) and a pit bull. The pit is the sweetest dog I've had since the yellow lab. Sorry to get so heavy on you for a light question, but this one hits home.

A little one-like a Cavalier KIng Charles or something,like that-full of energy and playfull,but with that sweet side.
