I'm really interested in the Blackberry Pearl, but Verizon doesn't support it. So now I'm looking at the Treo 700p. Opinions?

Blackberry is the original name for email re-direction. So many choose that name. Palm which is the maker of the Treo device also was the mainstay 10 yrs ago for handheld devices for daily calendar book.
Treo offers capabilities from the Palm OS (operating system) with the Treo 700p and the Windows Mobile 5.0 with the Treo 700w.
Depends which platform you prefer since Blackberry has its own network & operating system.
My suggestion is to take the Treo over the Blackberry.
But, I am not that much of a fan of Blackberry even though they offer a great product.

go with the treo they do everything and if they dont you can add a program to it that will do it. blackberrys are bulky and ugly looking and ive seen a couple people that had em and they love em but then i ask them "can your blackberry do this????" and they allways say "no i dont think so" which means one of two things either it cant do it or its too hard to figure out how to do it leaving the device un user friendly.
the 700p by the way is a modem as a phone so you can use it with your laptop to surf wireless web tell me a blackberry that does that. plus treos you can add microsoft word compatible programs you can push mail (the #one feature of a blackberry whoopedy doooo!!!) you can complete banking you can surf the real internet not mobile internet and you got palm support go to there website to find out what that is.
so if i were you id go with the treo and this is only a few things it can do the possibilities on a palm product are endless TRUST ME

Treo is better. If you're thinking of buying one, buy the Treo 700w/wx.

I have a Blackberry. Its the best phone I have ever had. I've been using RIM phones since Nextel started carrying them.

i used to have a blackberry until i switched to my sidekick but when i had it the internet was pretty fast the phobe was very good its a perfect little gadget for a buisness man or women
