Crucial.com is your one stop web site for RAM, it will run a test on your system and tell you how much RAM you have installed and how many free slots you have available. It will then tell you which RAM you need to get.

Check your manual for replacement requirements.
Most PC100 laptops will use a 144 pin sodimm, but not all types are compatible with all laptops (though most will accept PC133). EBay has 144 pin dimms at between £20 and £49 each. Take professional advice before you buy though.

No, speed is important, and unfortunatley PC100 RAM is not cheap. What you listed is PC2700
Your RAM must say PC100 or PC100 compatiable. Some faster RAM will slow down for access at slowerspeeds.
With the cost of PC100 RAM you may need to consider purchasing a newer laptop computer.

PC2700 is DDR RAM, not SDRAM. The PC2700 module will not even fit in your RAM socket (the key slots do not line up). You need either PC100 or PC133 SDRAM to work in your computer. Nothing else is going to work. PC66 will fit the slot, as will older EDO DRAM, but the computer will not boot with these older modules in place, due to a FSB mismatch. RAM will clock down, but motherboards will not. PC 100 or PC 133 only for you.

Nope I don't think so.
If your laptop needs a PC100 then you can't use a PC2700...they don't match.
