some say they can get pregnant at certain times to get the gender they want, but when you are already pregnant it's already oo late, but you can usually tell by the location of the baby. when i was pregnant with my daughter, i carried her very high and my sis-in-law is having a boy and he is really low... it's not always right but 8 out of 10 it usually works

There are many old wives tells that claim to work on detecting the sex of the baby. For instance if carried high its a girl and low its a boy, also theres the wedding ring tied to a string hanging from a pencil and the motion either front to back or round and round will tell you the sex. But in my opinion the only way to know for sure and its still not 100% is to have a sonogram. Sometimes its clear as day, then again I have heard of little boys coming out with only pink stuff to wear ha ha. Good Luck-

First of all I've read the other responses and they are nonsense. Secondly, if you already pregnant - it's too late. Thirdly, if you are having a pregnancy by ivf, you can ask them to isolate the specific male or female sperm to get a better chance of having what you want. If you are getting pregnant normally, then it is all about positions.
A study was done on sperm and determining sex of baby, and it was found that male (baby making) sperm swim slower than female (baby making) sperm. So it was found that if you have sexual intercourse in a position like doggy where the sperm is ejaculated closer to the cervic opening, the 'male' sperm will have a better chance of meeting the egg faster than the 'female'. And vice versa. Also depending on the time of fertilisation for example, at certain times of ovulation (can't remember when) the vaginal passage is more acidic and more likely to kill the slower, weaker sperm that is male sperm.
Anyway a bit of folklore - baby boy pointy belly; baby girl round belly.
Lastly girl, any baby is a gift from God. Cherish whatever you got and know that He knows what to give you. There are so many ppl here who wants a baby and can't have one.

I've heard a tale that if you are having sex using woman-on-top position, then you will have a girl. But if you are lying down and the man is on top, the sperm will most likely be that of a boy. Although I don't believe in all that rubbish, I was on top when I conceived and we both had a feeling at the same time. Guess what- I HAD A BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL!! Just hope for a HEALTHY baby, sex doesn't matter. My daughter has half a heart. I got my girl, but she needs 3 surgeries in order for her to even survive- if that. Place it in the hands of God. You can try to determin which sperm reaches the egg during conception by altering the acidity of the womb the Ph if you are more acidic you are more likely to get a boy if more alkalik than a girl. Douch the vaginal passage in either a MILD bicarb (baking soda) - (alkali) or citric acid (used for cooking etc) - (acidic) do this with a turkey baster.

i am kinda confused by the question if you are asking can you determine what the sex of you baby will be while making your babe then no you cant choose to get pregnaunt with what sex you want
but if you are asking how to find out the sex of the baby while he/she is still inside then there are alot of old wifes tales bout how to find out but i saw a penis when i had my sonogram done that is how i found out?

The only way to tell for definite is if you have to go for an amnio, then you can ask the sex and it will be 100% accurate. I wouldnt recommened this but if you have to go anyway then ask .

you can't! It's determined by the sperm..you can't pick which X or Y sperm goes to the egg! Any wife's tales you heard are rubbish. Let God and mother nature chose and be happy!
