Humans are not made to be celebate.

Well, I've been on both sides.

I was sexually active for awhile and then became celibate for seven years for spiritual reasons.

I found that while my heart was in it, it was good, I had a lot less drama in my life, that's for sure.

I then ended the 7 years of celibacy about 4 years ago...and I do not regret it. I do, however, regret a couple of the relationships I got into.

I think it comes down to knowing who you are and what you want when it comes to dating or a potential partner, and being able to stick to it.

It has it's pros and cons. The cons being the obvious, you have the urges and desires for sexual intimacy, yet it's also a great way of taking time for yourself and getting to know who you are and what you will and will not except in relationships.

Spiritually fullfilling! I take joy in knowing that one day I am God's betrothed and I do not need a man to fulfill physical needs. I depend on God for everything and live day by day. Make each day count. Life has nothing to do with what one acquires, but what one does for someone else. If everybody had this same initiative the world would be at peace!

I think its spirtually fulfilling, because you don't have to think about regret or anything. I think its a wonderful thing to do, i think the first time should be with someone who love you and he love you back or viceversa. Also there are too many STD's out there at least you know you cannot catch them if one is practicing celibacy.

The true definition of the word "celibacy" means to not get married. If you are asking about not having sex, the correct word to use is "chastity".

Assuming you mean the state of being chaste? Well, I think it's a good idea for teens who don't seem to take birth control seriously. I think it's kind of pointless for unmarried adults, unless they are among a very small percentage who are "saving themselves" for marriage. And I think it's a really, really bad idea for people who are already married. I think it works out ok for sequestered monks...but it does seem to be a challenge for those in organized religion.

If you're celibit because you can't get it, it is repressive. If it's a spiritual choice it can be very fufilling. It can help you know people, know God or higher power, and know yourself. I think if you take sex out for a little while it give room for stronger relationships.

i think it depends on your faith and where your wanting it to go, so yes it can be spiritually fulfilling. on the other hand for me it would be repressive, i just cant get enough of sex! so my answer is go with GOD and do what your heart and soul tell you to do.

I think it takes a very strong person to be clelibate. And by that I mean, you have to stay away from anything and everything that can put you in that situation. I thought I would, but couldn't. I'm no worse of a person for it and I believe God forgiven me for it.
