Dragon was an English Writing major in college. Mistaking then and than is not an option for Dragon. She would have to go back and return her degree if she did that.
It is bothersome when she sees other people doing it, but she tries to hold her tongue and not correct them, even if she is correcting them inside her head.

I personally don't because it is annoying, but I do know people that do. The difference between the two is illustrated best by the example below.
I am taller than you.
If you are taller than me, then you are lucky.
