My sinuses have been bothering me for 4 days now. I have been rinsing with warm salt water and feel like it is clearing me out, but the pain is worse today than ever. Any suggestions for quick pain relief?

I've read the answers so far, and most are either over the counter meds or old fashioned treatments. All help to a degree. But they are not true alternative medicine. There are sinus washes that will flush out fungus infestations. Also, oil of oregano capsules will help eliminate fungus, an almost always cause of sinus problems. A very good book on healthy living in general and healing various human illnesses is:
Foundations for Healing by Richard L. Becker, D.O. ~ Available at www.bioinnovations.net or call 1-888-442-6161. Dr. Becker has a great one hour TV program at 12 noon central time. Channel 321-WHT-on my DirectTV.
One of the most important things you can do for your health is to eliminate or cut way back on sugar because it feeds fungus and yeast in the body.
Warm compresses, dry or moist will help ease sinus pain. I find that when I put a piece of cloth over my eyes and forehead as I go to sleep at night it holds the warmth in and reduces cold causing pain.
Salt water rinses are OK, but will dry out the membranes if used too often. A drop or two of olive oil added to the rinses would ease that condition. There are numerous remedies, but I hesitate to give them as I am not a doctor, I'm merely an avid student of alternative remedies.
Should you wish to have more references to good books on the matter, post a note to my site (if that is possible or permissible) and I'll do my best to help.

put honey on a top of sinus pain. I mean on a skin. Do not get to your eyes! The pain will go away fast. Keep honey on as long as you can, then wash with warm water. And skin will be better too!! Use Saline 2-3 times a day.

This is highly addictive so beware...I only use it in instances like what you are talking about because you feel worse when you quit taking it and just want to keep taking it so you feel better. Only use this for this day and no matter how you feel the next day don't use it. Afrin nasal spray---It works instantly and wonderfully. You will feel terrific ADDITION___ Maybe your dad would let you use it this once, just be careful and know how addictive it is. I have heard of people using a bottle a day----TERRIBLE FOR YOU

If you don't want to take medicine, try SudaCare Shower Soothers. They are big tablets that you put on the shower floor and they release vapors as you take a steamy shower. They help clear up your head. Medicine-wise, sometimes all I can do is take a Benadryl (not meant for sinus headaches, but it helps me) and go to sleep. Sometimes sleep is the best cure.

Steaming over a pot of boiling water works. Be careful! Put a towel over your head just like the old days. This has to be repeated a few times, maybe an hour apart to get things moving.Keep your nasal passages moist with saline. Feel better!

-Put a warm, moist washcloth over face for 5 to 10 minutes several times a day to relieve pain.
-Drink plenty of fluids to help keep your mucus thin.
