Bladerunner (science fiction). A classic from the early 80s. Harrison Ford as a bounty hunter out to retire (read kill) "replicants" who have decided that they don't want to serve their human masters. Along the way he meets and falls in love with a woman who turns out to be a replicant. At the same time, the question arises whether he himself is who he thinks he is. Rich cinematography coupled with unforgettable music by Vangelis ("Chariots of Fire"). This is a movie that you need to see multiple times before you can fully appreciate the richness of the imagery and the depths of philosophy that it plumbs. Great performances by Rutger Hauer, Darryl Hannah and Sean Young complement Ford's laconic Deckard character. Great supporting work by William Sanderson as an inventor who literally "makes friends", Edward James Olmos as Deckard's minder/Greek chorus and Brion James as the psychotic "Leon", who asks the question that we all want to know - "How much time do I have left"?

"Just Looking"
It's a coming of age tale. A young boy is sent to spend the summer with his uncle and his pregnant aunt in order to give his mom and new step-dad some time alone. He has a burning desire to witness someone having sex and tries a great number of things along the way. In the end, he gets his wish by accident and then wishes he didn't. The ending is a terrific surprise.
