No one is taught any more, to love thy neighbour or to help someone with an arm load of groceries. Why? I havent got a clue, all I know is too many parents are wanting it all and forgetting the basics to teach their offspring. The first person a child learns basic morals from is the parent if the parent has none or is never there then all is lost. babysitter society we will all lose in the end.

Morality and Sincerity are not decreasing from generation to generation.
The population is increasing. Therefore, even if the crime rate stays the same, with an increasing population, you get a larger number of instances or examples of low morality, crime, fraud, etc.

To add to that, the reproduction rates of people is inversely proportional to their intelligence - that is to say that dumb people incapable of understanding morality concepts are reproducing in greater numbers and faster rates than the reproduction rates of intelligent people.

The sum total of all the knowledge in the world is a constant figure,
while the population continues to grow.

Furthermore, in just one battle in 1863 at Gettysburg, PA, about 50,000 US soldiers died. The battle lasted 3 days.
It took almost ten years in Viet Nam for the USA to lose 57,000 soldiers.

It would seem to me with 100 years between our "Civil" war and the Viet nam War, we got LESS vicious not MORE, despite the added sophistication of high-tech weaponry and all.

There are probably alot of fundamentalist religious groups who'd love for you to believe that humanity is rushing towards judgement day in some form of Grand Decline or decay... but I don't think that will ever be true until a majority of people in the world believe it and right now, they don't.

That's funny, I don't remember seeing you at any of the town hall meetings during the 1800's...

I would think that 50 Million people dying in one decade (WWII) would be as low a state of morals as you can get. How about wiping out the Indians and not giving them any land? Have you read about the sweat shops of the early 1900's? Slavery maybe?

It is not getting worse like so many people would like you to believe. Get out of your bedroom and live a little and open your eyes man!

We have a tendency to compare. We compare people, we compare things, we compare our generation to the next generation ,etc. We just cant stop comparing...and complaining as well.ln other words, we never stop finding faults. Human nature.

because men have forgotten God and turned away from Him and His ways and His laws.

of COURSE there will be more crime, immorality, disrespect of those in authority, and disprespect for the law, etc. . (and lack of any sincerity) on all levels.
