Yes, both short-term and long-term.
My long-term holdings include Microsoft (it's done very well for me over the past 2 years), Starbuck's (ditto), Home Depot (cooled off a bit but still done well)...and some others.

Right now short-term I have Meade Instruments, Electronic Arts, Qualcomm, and Jack in the Box.
Up on all of them as of today :)

My kids' college funds are in American Funds mutuals -- I started putting $100 a month for each of them (I have 2) the month they were born, dollar cost-averaging. Both are doing very well :)

Yes, in several Commodity trades as well as in a Company owned locally. In the process of purchasing another company which I will own stocks in as well.

Not an agressive player but thus far things have grown satisfactorily.

I have tube socks, soccer socks, shortie socks, dress socks, etc. I have a lot of different kinds.

Oh, you said stocks. I thought those went out with witches. I haven't seen anyone put in the stocks in my life.

Oh, stocks, like stocks and bonds....Sorry, yes, I have stocks. Most people invest and diversify with some type of stocks.
