Anyone who claims they don't do it is a liar. As much as we'd like to throw a drink on our boss's face during a meeting for example, we shut up because we know fitting in will enable our existance to be lived through a bit easier. And you're right no one really cares either way; we're all guilty of pretending. Yes it's normal.

Be proud of who you are
If people don't want to accept you, ignore them
and if they aren't going to be proud of you whether you r like them or you be yourself then just be yourself an express your individuality

don't hide and don't be afraid to speak up, be different, man has no say, we just allow people to put us down...never will that happen to me...
