My home computer has speakers. Some companies might ban them if any kind of sound could be distracting if in an office space or in a care unit where people are trying to get rest.

Mine does, but most do not. It's way to distracting for those in a cubicle environment to have to listen to everyone else's speaker play. Where I work, you get speakers if you are in an office with solid walls & a door. Otherwise, no speakers.
