This is not an answer, simply because I don't live in the UK. This is a "So not fair!" post :P. That's so awesome that you can get a GRANT for being pregnant. We get maternity leave...not necessarily paid...and for an entirely too short period of time. And if we're lucky we get treated the same when we come back. If we're not lucky they start cutting our hours "because everyone's getting their hours cut" when in reality you can see right there on the schedule that NO ONE ELSE got cut from 40 hrs to 9.
Sorry. I know this is not what you asked for. But that's just way cool about a prego grant...That's really all I wanted to say.

there is a grant to have ababy, give me a break!! i live in the UK and never heard of it! whatever next! i have a 13 year old and a 17 year old, i didnt get a grant!!!!!!!!!!!!
