You really need to structure your question better. You should either state that you believe a woman should run for president, and ask us if we agree or disagree, or ask us if we think a woman should run for president (yes or no), and why. Or perhaps you are polling us to see how many agree/disagree that a woman will run for president in 2008? It's not clear what you're trying to get at with your question.
I'll assume you're asking if we believe a woman should run for president. My answer is, why not? There are many women as qualified as men (or more so) to run the country. But because of tradition, stereotype and gender discrimation, we're probably still several elections away from electing a female president.

I don't care about gender, I care about quality. As for Hilary, If I were her I'd wait for one more term to go by. Right now probably isn't the best time for her to throw her hat into the ring. Since rumor of Senator John McCain possibly running in this next term, I don't think she'd have a chance against him, especially with the world situation right now. People are wanting a strong, military leader, and right now I think they are still wanting a man. If it was between Hillary and McCain, I'd vote McCain. Hillary and anybody else, she'd get my vote.

I think a person that is qualified should run for President, regardless of sex, race or religion. I do not agree that Hillary Clinton is that person though. She has been involved in too many scandals. She runs for Senator in a state that she never lived in before. Wonder why that is? Maybe because too many people in her home state knew who she "really" was. Just give us an honest, reliable and worthy representative.

I supported a woman running for president when I was kid. Shirley Chism ran in 1972. She had absolutely zero chance but as an African American woman her campaign was very symbolic. Whether you like Hillary or not the very fact that any woman is being discussed as a serious contender for the Democratic nomination is definitely a sign of progress.

Females have just as much right to run as men. Hopefully, the people will elect the right candidate regardless of gender. Whether or not that person is Hilary Clinton is another topic. . .

I don't care what their gender is, as long as they are qualified, credible, honest, decent, moral, and respectable people (which pretty much excludes anyone currently in the running, especially Hillary Clinton).
I'd like to see an independent run and finally destroy the monopolistic stranglehold the corrupt 'Republicrats' have on our political system. We need more choices than the lesser of two evils. -RKO-

Sure but I don't think it really matters if a candidate is male or female. Other countries have had and do have female leaders - no biggie. It's whomever can do the best job. I would never vote for someone just because she is female. I personally can't stand Hillary so I would never vote for her - simply because of her gender. Race, color, religion, etc, etc..should never ever ever matter - with anything.

Yes, just not Hillary because I still have a bad taste in my mouth about her behavior as 1st Lady. There are many qualified women, Democrat and Republican that would make fine candidates. I can't wait to see the first Woman Pres.

This may sound cheesy, but I would vote for a woman for President. Or any minority for that matter. It would have be the right person for the job. Right now I don't see the right female for president on the radar. Ms. Clinton, in my opinion, is not right for the job.

It's still a free country. what intrigues me however is all the folks answering your ? who say Hilary is a crook, immoral, etc. I would like to know what facts they base their belief on. I have trouble liking her mainly because I feel she is "cold". As in I was not surprised when Bill strayed off the ol' ranch partner.
