Okay I have seen several names in the news for Republicans that would like to run in 2008.....John McCain.....former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson....and former NY mayor Rudy Giuliani. Who would you like to see run and why?

Anyone but a Republican or a Democrat. The problem is that these to parties have created a monopoly by their 'sameness'. They have a corrupt stranglehold on our political system.
Americans have multiple choices in everything from cars to cucumbers. But, when it comes to our political process, we only have a choice between the lesser of two evils. It's time for new political parties to break through and destroy the 'Republicrats' domination of the way we vote. -RKO-

We need new blood in the republicans and democrats. No more old boys club. No more Clinton or Bush.New names for the middle class. Stop illegals entering the country. Stop drugs and protect our border guards. Low cost drug program for the elderly, not the farce that is pushed now. Cut property taxes, with all the talk of lower taxes mine have gone up, as have the utilities, gas, along with everything else. The republicans still don't get it. If the democrats don't get it they won't last either. I hope everyone keeps voting against incumbents until we get a government that works for legal Americans.

The two frontrunners are indeed McCain and Giuliani. I would be okay with either of them, but neither is perfect. McCain is a little old and Giuliani has some scandal issues. Condoleeza Rice would be good, but she wont run. I think theres a good bet for anyone againt a Hillary Clinton/Mark Warner ticket, though Warner is a pretty good person to pick.

it will probably be either McCain or Giuliani.. but there are still 2 more years so who knows what will happen by then... and as a democrat I'd like to see McCain run because i don't think the far right would vote for him so it would make it easier to get a democratic president in.. but any way you look at it.. the next election will be a battle of the moderates.

for the above post.. J.F.K was a democrat... he was liberal for his time.. sure he'd be more of a moderate by todays standards (moderate democrat.. just look at his family.. they are very much democrats) but a democrat none the less...

jackie has got it almost to a T but there is one flaw. The dems have already found it. they learned along time ago that if they keep the lower class down by never forcing them to do anything for them self they will continue to grow. then they keep making promises and keep their masks on making them think they are for them and are doing everything to give them what they need they can keep the lower masses voting for them to control elections.

this is the history of every democracy ever created on this world. This is then turned to a dictatorship to "be fair to everyone" What you hope for is right but its way to late and never happens. I just hope we can prove this doesnt always have to happen.

If we had cloning, I would like to see another Ron Reagan or John F Kennedy. Both of these men were great and both were conservatives. People dont take the time, and just look at tags placed on people, to understand what people stand for. Both these great men knew that Americans could do more if they had more of their money in their pocket and it worked. People bought goods, that put people to work to make and replace what was bought, which meant more people paying taxes.

Imagine that, it works.
